I have just observed a mag 4 S object from this launch (probably the Soyuz) close
to gamma Peg at 1999 Oct 18 16:56:21 UTC (only 30 seconds late with the elset
above) using 10x50 binoculars. The Sun was only 6.2 deg below my horizon.
Distance to gamma was about 0.8 deg (to the upper left of gamma).
