Iridium nomenclature will not change

The Iridium nomenclature will likely remain the same with no possibility of
revision. The rationale is when the program was designed, the software that
governs the communications scheme is linked to the pre-existing
nomenclature. This means that SEESAT observers will need to put up with the
identifications that are shown in the TLE's. At this point in time, the long
awaited master list to be produced by Motorola is still not ready. It is
expected to show which Iridium satellite numbers have been swapped and
should cross correlate international ID, common name, and USSpacecom catalog
numbers.
