My first Iridium flare

I finally downloaded Rob Matson's IRIDFLAR yesterday and did a prediction.
Lo and behold, the first flare was a -5.6 magnitude with a maximum about
1/4 mile from my house! So at 18:18 PST, with absolutely clear skies, I
went up on my roof (I didn't bother walking over to the maximum location)
and saw an absolutely spectacular flare. Much brighter than Jupiter (close
by, mag ~ -2.5) and Venus (farther away, mag ~ -4.3 [also a nice sight with
Mars only 2 deg away]), so the magnitude prediction was probably pretty
good.
Are they all like this?
