At 19:10 UTC October 8, (october 9 0440 local time)
saw my first glint . Used Randy John's Sksat
program. Saw one of the ir19+ir34-37 group
brighten up to mag -6. So bright that one
could see a faint halo of scattered light
(from inside eye I presume) around the
the bright point. That paricular pass
was Sto N , and the area in the sky where
glints happen is just west of meridian
and elevation 55-58 degrees. Duration
about 8 seconds. Path length of glint
about 5 degrees in the sky. [easy to judge,
was just west of main part of Orion]
