Hi Folks

Now that we have trashed out E/W +/-,  what about the sign used for time 
zones?  

I found the best method to be completely unambiguous (and this works for E/W
as well) is to spell it out in full: eg. GMT + 2h and 19 d East. 
This should be done eg. where you need to fill in a text box, etc.
