Last night I observed a bright satellite while scanning the
sky with 10 X 50 binoculars. The sat crossed from Ursa Major
in the NW heading SSW. The sat was visible from 20.35 untill
20.40 GMT. My location is Dublin, Ireland.

Can anybody identify this object ?.

Also is it possible to work "backwards" from an unplanned observation to
make an identification, using software such
as STSPlus (or some other programm)?.
