Saw Mir & STS-86 Again!

Another amazing bit of luck: Having been on a trip, I had been without
computer/internet but had heard on TV that Mir-STS had undocked Friday
AM. Just in case there was another flyover (had seen them 27 Sept. 1997
- "Saw Mir & STS-86"), I obtained new Mir & STS TLE's to check. When
I got STS Plus up and running, it was 02:18 UTC and the graphics showed
them approaching the horizon! I immediately got together with some
interested neighbors and we watched STS-86 make a near overhead pass!
It's max. magnitude was close to that of Jupiter. Mir followed; both visible
in the sky at the same time. Mir was quite a bit dimmer. I almost missed
the whole thing! Culmination was approx. 02:26-27 UTC 4 Oct. 1997 UTC
(3 Oct. 1997 local). They were about a min. apart.
