Observed STS-86 and Mir at 23:25 UT on Oct 3.
Mir leading , mag -1 to -2. Atlantis following, mag 0.
Seperation of 10 degrees, diameter of big dipper's bowl ( plough for the UK)
Pass low in south, both spacecraft passed only 1-2 degrees above Jupiter,
then entered Earth's shadow. This is the closest I have seen them ever, and
the only visible pass this mission with good weather.
