Hi folks,
If all goes well, you should be receiving this message from
SeeSat-L@lists.satellite.eu.org
All of the lists, SeeSat-L, SeeSat-D and UseSat-L, that are being run from
cds.plasma.mpe-garching.mpg.de can now also be addressed to through
lists.satellite.eu.org, which is an alias for
cds.plasma.mpe-garching.mpg.de
So it is suggested that in future you use the following addresses:
SeeSat-L@lists.satellite.eu.org
SeeSat-D@lists.satellite.eu.org
UseSat-L@lists.satellite.eu.org
Administrative requests (such as subscribe, unsubscribe and archive
commands) should be sent to:
SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org
SeeSat-D-request@lists.satellite.eu.org
UseSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org
This change should be transparent to the subscribers. Using the old
addresses should still work, but is clear that we would like to phaze
those out in the near future, so please start using the new addresses.
On the same note, the Garching-version of the Visual Satellite Observer's
Home Page can now be accessed through:
http://www2.satellite.eu.org/satintro.html
Here as well, the old addresses will keep working, but we suggest you
change your bookmarks anyway.
Please update bookmarks, email aliases, references on web pages, in
signatures, and other documents etc.
The reason for these changes is that both Neil and I do not exactly lead
sedentary lives and having these general aliases will avoid problems in
the future when either Neil or I move (including our computers).
Hope this does not lead to any inconvenience.
