This evening the clouds broke and only some haze remained. At 18:35 I saw MIR passing just north of Sagitta. It grow brighter and brighter as it speeded towards the east. Just before shadow entry it was mag 0 or perhaps even brighter. Due to the haze there was a halo around MIR. No debris was spotted around MIR. 79- 30 B 96-10-16 18:40 LB almost S, mag 5 84- 56 B 96-10-16 19:18:12 LB 85.6 0.5 4 21.4 AA, mag 5->7 85- 11 B 96-10-16 19:32:22 LB 135.7 0.5 2 67.9 AA, mag 4->inv 94- 41 B 96-10-16 19:23:43 LB 226.4 0.5 4 56.6 AA, mag 4->7 94- 85 B 96-10-16 18:56:17 LB 42.2 0.2 30 1.41 FF, mag 6->inv Faint but sharp flashes; some flashes missing. 96- 25 B 96-10-16 19:12:47 LB 129.6 0.2 10 12.96 Ff, mag 5(6)->inv Sometimes the secondary flash was not seen.
