    Observations 01 Nov 2011
    ----------------------------

MINTRON low light level CCD surveillance camera (0.005
lux typical in non integration mode) and 0.00005 lux in STARLIGHT
    mode with 128 frame integration.)
Used with 200mm focal length f/2.8 lens. Field of view 1.86 x 1.38
degrees - stars down to mag +13 seen in "real" time, depending on
    sky brightness.
Individual frames are video time stamped with GPS derived signal.
    Images processed and measured manually.

    NOTES:
    ---------
    (1) "Experimental" session. Trying new optical setup for use with plane
scanning. Unfortunately the MINTRON has so many dead pixels (that
look like geostationary satellites) which makes it rather unsuitable
for the task. Faint geosats need more than the 2.5 seconds exposure
maximum that the MINTRON can give.
    (2) Lot of cloud dodging...

    Cheers
    Greg
