Apologies to Ted, Mike (and other analysts): I remembered ObsReduce HAS a facility to add stars you lack, in the AddStars.txt file. And I had used it, as recently as March 12 2007! Plus, I had the two larger star databases as .zip files since long ago, but I never felt I needed them with my 8" SN (but I should, with one of the shorter fl. eyepieces). With the STAR club's 10" SCT I do need it. SkyMap and ObsReduce star DBs differ slightly there, so take your pick: 29249 06 027A 5917 F 20071126035005680 17 25 0729357+492281 27 S+095 05 29249 06 027A 5917 F 20071126035005680 17 25 0729356+492265 27 S+095 05 .073 d X-track; 20.087 s late/.071 d X-track; 19.644 s late relative to new elset. 29249 06 027A 5917 F 20071127215804920 17 25 0145165+575556 86 S+105 05 29249 06 027A 5917 F 20071127215804920 17 25 0145135+575535 86 S+105 05 .022 d X-track; 24.858 s early/.021 d X-track; 23.133 s early relative to new elset. This large shift in 39h is nearly the same as the Nov.26 "287.082 s late, relative 10.73 day old elset" so MM might be close to 2.0064 again! /Björn ----- Original Message ----- > > It was about 0.7' offtrack and 7s late on Mike's new elset > > 29249 06 027A 5917 F 20071127215804920 17 25 0145098+575515 66 S+105 05 > > (as always, IOD format: http://www.satobs.org/position/IODformat.html) -- Björn Gimle -- -- COSPAR 5917, STAR, +18.05447 (E), +59.34185 (N), 33 m -- -- COSPAR 5918 WGS84, +18.10127 (E), +59.29813 (N), 44 m -- -- COSPAR 5919, MALMA, +18.6206 (E), +59.2615 (N), 33 m -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
