Hello Tonight I apparently observed Cosmos 2082. I found the info to observe it from Heavens above page. I did observe a blinking red satellite, however it didn't follow the coordinates found on Heavens above. It was stated 2082 would pass through the Square of Pegasus, however it passed south of the square. Did anyone else observe 2082? The following are the info on my location and time of observation. Marshfield,MA USA - Latitude:42.0780 N - Longitude:70.6500 W - UT Offset: -5:00 (EST) - The Date of observation:11/24/06 - The Time of observation:22:57 UTC - The Satellite:Cosmos 2082 Rocket According to HA 2082 was to enter the Square of Pegasus between the stars Markab and Scheat at approximately 22:57. However 2082 proceeded south of the Square of Pegasus. The following web page is on Heavens Above website; http://www.heavens-above.com/PassDetails.asp?Size=600&SatID=20625&Session=kebgcbnpghigpphdkmmcpedn&Date=39045.9566221178 Dan Jeff Umbarger wrote: > Hey Dan, > Depending on where you are on the earth's > surface, your going to see Cosmos 2082 or any other > satellite in radically different places in the night > sky.
