As a follow-up to my obs posting, I noticed that the NOSS 2-3 C (96-029D) was considerably brighter than the others in the trio. I estimated its brightness to be +4, whereas the others were mag +8 at best on a 41-degree altitude pass to my NE. Although I recorded its brightness as steady (code S on the IOD format) I lost it just after the moment of capturing the point as I was waiting for the others to pass through the star field. I guess it faded quickly and that I captured it at a flare. A quick check back on the SeeSat archive suggests this is normal behaviour for this object.
