The Delta IV being launched this Saturday from Vandenberg AFB has no solid strap-on rocket motors. The liquid fuel Delta IV core vehicle is very clean burning and produces very little in terms of a visual display. The most visible result of the launch will probably be a large white cloud from stage 1/2 staging. Lift-off will occur from 20 to 30 minutes before sunrise on the California coast. However, this vehicle doesn't appear to produce much of a display even for twilight launches.
