On 051104 I think I have recovered 05512A, a near GSO object discovered in January 2005, and as far as I know not seen since late January. It was about 16 minutes later than the nominal prediction (nominal assumed NDOT2=0). It was flashing mag 5 or 6 every 27.15 sec, similar to January. The obs were (OTWG format see http://www.satobs.org/position/UKformat.html) 0551201211505110421291428 040 13015470 -0369 015 5 +50 02715F 0551201211505110421350733 040 13020023 -0348 003 5 0551201211505110421353459 040 13020067 -0346 004 5 0551201211505110421381736 040 13020344 -0327 007 5 0551201211505110421384450 040 13020381 -0327 005 5 Observations 2 and 3 may have a 27sec time error. If I adjust NDOT2 to -.00000014 as in the elements below then I get a good match to the obs. 1 90029U 05512A 05023.88729000 -.00000014 00000-0 00000+0 0 05 2 90029 13.5000 15.2200 0005000 355.6600 4.3357 .98956700 07 On 051104 it was flashing at 2128 UT (maybe earlier) at RA=0154 Dec=-3.7 and was still flashing at 2141 UT RA=0206 Dec=-3.2. From the January obs the part of the sky where it flashes will not change much from night to night. It is currently well placed for Europe, Africa and west Asia, drifting westwards about 4 degrees per day. On 051105 it will be at the RA/Dec above from 2146 to 2158, On 051106 it will be at the RA/Dec above from 2204 to 2215.
