         From the Dallas Texas area I could not see the
    aurora but I alerted my family in Michigan and they
    saw a spectacular display, including my 81 year old
    mother who I called at 2:00am her time. Being a night
    owl she step outside and couldn't believe what was
    happening! In her 81 years on earth she had never seen
    anything like this! I wonder where I get my nightime
    "owlness"!
