What was particularly noteworthy was, with the exception of the first few flashes, they were all double flashes. The main flash was preceded by a dimmer flash by about 0.5 second. The double flashes ended abruptly at 03:17:55 UTC. This was followed by the usual Superbird A flash pattern (Second PPAS report). The phase shift for Superbird A occurred at 03:26:30 UTC 30 November 2003.
