Last year, Tom from Iowa and I both reported flares from the Grace
satellites. I can find better dates and times from my notes if you're
    interested.

    Best Regards,
    Russ

Subject: Graces flaring? Iridium 24; Superbird A

On the newsgroup a couple of days ago there was a note
about the Grace 1 and 2 satellites (27391, 02-012A and
    27392, 02 012B) flaring. The last two evenings I'm
pretty sure that I've seen at least one of them flare
but haven't managed to see both. This still needs to
    be confirmed.

Iridium 24 (97-082B, 25105) did some very nice flashes
    the last two nights.

Last night after years I finally got a very good chance
to show Superbird A to my sister. She saw a number of
flashes with her 7x35 binoculars, and also was pretty
certain that she saw one flash without them. It was
flashing near the star 17 Eridani.
