While waiting for Superbird A I noticed that there was no reception for WWV or CHU - the 1st time I couldn't receive CHU. I looked to the NW and there was a large red streak across the sky. Later there were red streaks in the NE as well. The reddish glow was noticable through my 6" dob in the SSE while I was timing Superbird A.
