Now I understand why the gps satellites are going quickly to there operational orbit.

They used to launch them and use some as spares until one of the other failed. So they would take
there time getting into the proper orbit.

Now they plan to put them in the proper orbit and use them right away.

The newest gps satellite is planing to be turn on at the end of the month.

    2000-071A 26605 NAVSTAR 49 (USA-154)

It has a PRN number of 18 and SVN of 41.

All the better, more gps satellites is good. Being newer with better technology, they can give
    better accuracy then before.
