Hi All, I recovered the 89046A GEO Wednesday night, but only for a couple minutes. I have adjusted the orbital elements to match my observation to within 0.l degrees or so, but further observations would be needed to confirm the orbit. It is low in the southwest, even for west coast observers. It has a brief period of binocular-visible flashes (~mag 7) each night a little after 9:00pm, about halfway between beta-Aqr & iota-Cap. Here is the updated TLE: USA 39 1 20066U 89046A 00320.50580000 .00000000 00000-0 +00000+0 0 03 2 20066 5.4200 55.5000 0080000 225.1993 150.0035 1.00272000 05 (I only adjusted the inclination and epoch date in order to match the observation, but this should be close enough to acquire it). I'm guessing brightest flashes will be around 9:08pm PST tonite.
