I think I saw my first satellite with my Meade ETX-125EC this evening... but
am not sure since I am a novice to all this. I'm trying to identify what I
saw without a finding clear match using Heavens Above website. My location
is 47.9532°N, 122.2299°W. At 18:39 PST I saw something moving very fast at
approximately 40 degrees (give or take 20... I'm not yet setup for accurate
measurements) altitude due NE. I followed for about two-three minutes until
it faded out completely with very little change in altitude due SE. It did
not blink, flash or otherwise change brightness at all until I lost it due
SE which leads me to believe it wasn't an aircraft of any sort. It was a
small dot about the same brightness as most of the stars around (I'm in a
fairly heavily light polluted neighborhood near Everett, WA).

    Any guesses what it was?
