History may offer some guidance. Explorer 19 and (63053A) and Explorer 39
(68066A) were 3.6 m aluminized mylar balloons - rather similar to the OCSE to
be launched next week. According to Desmond King-Hele, in his book Observing
Earth Satellites, both were "magnitude 5 at a distance of 1000 km, and were
excellent objects for observing."
