Hello everyone.

After a few false starts I managed to observe a LEO object using my 6" DOB.
Tiros 1 (00029) passed within a few minutes of arc from zeta-Aquarius (204az,
48el) at 00:06:06 UTC 30 November. It seemed to take about 1.5 secs to pass
through my ~0.5 deg FOV. I would estimate that its brightness was about a
6.0-6.5 mag. Prior to and after my telescope obs I was not able to observe
it using my 7x50s due to some haze.

Orion 3 (25727) will be making visible passes in the USA for the next week or
so. This object has been flashing at times like a Superbird A but in a LEO
due to a launch failure.

The Gamma Ray Observer (21225) made a nice 5.0 mag pass at 23:51 UTC this
evening (200az, 15el).

The Mir will be making some visible evening passes this week for the folks in
NE USA. This evening's pass was in the NNE and only 15 deg above the horizon
at 22:39 UTC. Still the brightness was about a +1.0 and it was easily
visible at 1x even in a moderate haze.

Cheers
