Mir Close Encounter

Hi All,

The cosmonauts on Mir will have an exciting sight in less than 11 hours.
At 14:53 UT on 19 November, OV 3-3 (USSPACECOM #02389) will
pass right-to-left in front of Mir at a predicted range of only about
20 km.  The range could be as little as 4 km depending on how drag
affects these two objects.  The encounter occurs over the southern
tip of Argentina as Mir is heading for the south Atlantic just north
of the Falklands.  The encounter occurs in daylight, so the cosmonauts
will be able to see OV 3-3 zipping right along to the north.
