Hello folks,

Here's a new version (1.3) of Rob Matson's iridflar program for
predicting flares off iridium satellites. Rob writes:

This version has hard-wired handling of the most recent Iridium launch,
and a support mechanism for handling any future Iridiums added to the
constellation. For now I have hard-coded the latest Iridiums in reverse
  order of catalogue #: 42, 41, 40, 39, 38. This will probably turn out
to be wrong, but I wanted to put in something, and this seemed to be the
most likely assignment based on past launches.

  Other features/changes:

Choice of 3-line vs. 1-line output (i.e. peaks only)
Choice of Brief or Verbose output to file
Indication of which MMA is causing each flare
Calculation of standard magnitude (to help refine curve of brightness
     vs. mirror angle)
  Special handling for Iridium 11
File-sharing allowed for configuration file, output file and TLE file

As before the programs are located at:

http://www.satellite.eu.org/programs/iridflar.zip
http://www.satellite.eu.org/programs/flare_nc.zip

the first being for 386 machines and above, the second for those without
maths co-processors.

Have fun!
