Hi everyone,

Early this morning, during a May16,12:27 a.m. CDT pass of the ISS, I
noticed a fainter satellite preceding the station along nearly the same
track. Their separation decreased during the pass from about 10° to 2°
(perspective effect?). I'm curious if the two were related or if it was
strictly a coincidence. The second satellite gradually brightened during
its run from about magnitude 4.5 to 3.

Thank you for your help in identifying this object.

Best regards,
Bob
