    If the track was from NW to SE then it would have originated over land.
    If it appeared high in the SE and headed toward the horizon then it
    would have be launched well inside Australian waters. I consider either
    to be highly unlikely but not impossible. It is possible that an RAAF
    aircraft fired an air to sea  missile at a sea target. Was there any air
    defence excises at Townsville at that time?
