    Giving your coordinates (+date and UTC time) would always be helpful.
    
    H-A has three Martinez in California, the third too distant:
    Further guessing: your obs was May 29 10:30 PM PDT=
    May 30 05:30 UTC from 38.02N, 121.2 W
    At 05:31 you would have had NOSS 2-1 (C) and (E) two degrees apart in CrB, 
    with (D) leading by 3.5 degrees, descending to the SE (not polar).
    They are sometimes brighter (than predicted +5.9), but not necessarily all 
    three simultaneously.
