Camera at manual mode, "10 second" (= 10.7 second) exposure, wide field f2.8/7.41 mm. What these numbers mean: http://www.satobs.org/position/IODformat.html ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Another nice clear night. 05-016A was initially seen at +2 low in the west-southwest, but then started to fade, being invisible within a minute of the second position listed above. 07-005A nice and bright again. I now realize the source of my confusion about this: because of the "A" designation, parallel to IGS 1A, I had mistakenly thought it to be an optical while of course it is a radar. I could not cover the first part of the night as I returned only by 2 am from dinner with friends (any unusual residues are due to the good Port wine I was served :-p ). Had a chat about my observing activities with my neighbour (who was returning from the pub at 2:15 am), and pointed out some constellations to her with the laserpointer. Saw a satellite flash near Polaris while doing that. - Marco ----- Dr Marco Langbroek - SatTrackCam Leiden, Cospar 4353 Leiden, the Netherlands. 52.15412 N, 4.49081 E (WGS84), +0 m ASL SatTrackCam: http://home.wanadoo.nl/marco.langbroek/satcam.html Station (b)log: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com Atom RSS: http://sattrackcam.blogspot.com/atom.xml e-mail: sattrackcam@wanadoo.nl ----- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
