I was in the process of writing back saying that I see it in unix format, but did a quick test first. Here's the deal: Both the Catalog file and the Alldata file on SpaceTrack are in .gz format. If I use a recent version of WinZip, I get a DOS text file as the unzipped output (older versions of WinZip did not convert gz files). Out of habit, I sometimes uncompress the file using a DOS program named gzip.exe, which puts the output in unix format. So, you are correct. It was the utility that I was using that was causing the unix format, not the original file. Sorry for the confusion. --Ralph ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subscribe/Unsubscribe info, Frequently Asked Questions, SeeSat-L archive: http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
