    Kevin, you made one common error: your designations of stars A and B are
    inconsistent with your measurement of the fractional distance between them. That
    explains the huge difference in cross-track and timing between prediction and
    observation. Using the same stars and fraction that you used, but swapping A and
    B, I get:
    
    27424 02 022A   1775 G 20050509063305960 17 25 2052286+333999 58 S+049 10
    
    which agrees with prediction to within 0.017 deg cross-track and 0.138 s time.
