If launch occurs 10:22 UTC, NOAA 18 should make its NB leg in daylight,
and the SB leg is also sunlit, down to about latitude +34 N

NW USA should have a pass at 12:04, 20 deg elev. in the WNW
while the Sun is still at -9 degrees

My orbit estimate for launch on 2005-05-12:

    NOAA 18 Delta Vandenberg 2005-05-12 10:22 UTC
    1 70132U 05642A 05132.49590000 .00002000 00000-0 10000-2 0 73
    2 70132 098.7900 80.2000 0011111 330.0000 126.5000 14.23100000 26
