At the last minute, I decided to produce search elements for a possible circularization burn within range of Diego Garcia, on 2005 May 04 near 00:35:17 UTC: 1 70001U 05124.02450231 .00000055 00000-0 10000-4 0 05 2 70001 57.0053 117.3213 0004000 21.7260 182.0000 14.66200000 00 1 70002U 05124.02450231 .00000044 00000-0 10000-4 0 04 2 70002 57.0053 117.3213 0004000 21.7260 181.4000 14.56000000 01 The sky had (mostly) cleared, so I hoped to be able to check for the manoeuvre at 01:31 UTC, but as luck would have it, a cloud patch obscured the area in which I had intended to intercept the satellite. I flailed my binoculars among gaps in the clouds, but could not spot it. The sky is mostly clear, and I have several more passes, so I am optimistic.
