I guess the combination of difficult phase angle, atmospheric extinction, and cirrus clouds got me, because I was not able to find either Lacrosse 5 or its Titan Rk. I definitely had an otherwise unobstructed view of that part of the sky. I will check the weather for the 11:00 UTC passes in the morning, but the outlook isn't promising. I haven't seen one story about the launch from a major (USA) news network on TV or on the web. (However, I don't have cable TV.) I had hoped to see a bit of video. I've heard that late Friday is a good time to do something newsworthy but get it ignored, but I'm very surprised that the last Titan launch from the Cape was not covered. At least there was good coverage on SpaceFlightNow.com! I guess everyone saw the follow-up story there Saturday that quoted Ted.
