Hi all, Just witnessed a nice Jupiter / ISS encounter a few minutes after sunset. I was about 800 m off centre line and had toyed with imaging it with a small FOV of about 7.5 arc minutes. That would have been marginal....so I chickened out ( Sorry Arnold ! ) and went for the safe bet....... Right on the dot 20:37:10 gmt the station went zipping through .FOV 30 arc minutes. http://mysite.freeserve.com/satcom_transits/ISS_Jup.gif Hopefully this will be of some use to Tom and Arnold to help calibrate their predictions.....but for artistic interpretation I'm afraid its nul points ! Ah well , a possible Lunar transit tomorrow..........must try harder !
