Hi folks: Around 7:50 pm on May 17, I accidentally caught a ' iridium-like' flare ( -1 or -2) while adjusting my video lens. I thought this must be easy to ID but heavens-above did not yield any clue. Even running irdiflar with fresh TLE did not help. Rechecking using skymap, the most likely candidate that fit the timing and direction/trajectory is IRIDIUM 50. No flare spot( normally colored yellow) was indicated. Is this unpredictable flare specific to iridum #50? rgds ykchia yKChia ,Singapore +8 UT, Long: 103.7773 E , Lat 1.4311 N www.ykchia.com ----------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from SeeSat-L, send a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@satobs.org List archived at http://www.satobs.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
