Superbird A, Orion 3

    Superbird A was observed last night from BCRC.  Flashes at
02:53 UT May 17 alternated bright and faint.  There were three
very bright flashes in a row at 02:55.  After that, both sets
of flashes faded equally over the next few minutes.  Period 22.58.

Ed saw one very bright flash from Orion 3 near culmination and
I saw another very bright flash through my telescope some 20 seconds
later.  Only faint flashes were seen after that.
