As already explained by Rob, beta angle has to do with the Sun's position above the orbital plane. By the end of the mission, STS (and ISS) will be in sunlight for too long - this is often the case when (in summer) the northern apex passes near midnight. But sin(Launch Azimuth) = cos(i) / cos(lat) (90 degrees when i=lat) so here Launch Azimuth is 45 degrees. ----- Original Message ----- From: <RockstockXIIII@aol.com> > > If you mean Launch Azimuth, then its 51.6 ISS Inclination > > ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/sat/seesat/seesatindex.html
