Saturday May 4 viewed 20 plus new sats for me. All were Cosmos predictions with a bonus of FengYun 1B DbK / #20847 . With 10 X 50 binocs seeing Cosmos 574 rocket #06708 above Regulus saw an extra sat in my field of view. IDSat and Alldat.tle showed it to be #20847 and then confirmed with Skymap with both sats in star field. This is another of my favorite parts of this hobby, to see 2 sats at same time in binoc field of view, one predicted and the other unexpected, and then be able to ID the unknown. Cosmos 2263 rocket #22803 seen 1 power near Denebola then IDSat. Iridium 68 flared to -1 at 22.24.30 EDT. Saw one bright meteor streak near Polaris at 23.30.00 EDT. Found a viewing spot 100 yards from home for a May 10 Venus and Mars event.
