    There was nothing reported by the American Association of Variable Star
    Observers
    (AAVSO) on this. Something this bright would have not been missed. I
    suscribe to their ALERT NOTICES and while SOME supernova variables are in
    "outburst" they
    are no where NEAR naked eye visibility, let alone visable in daylight.
    
    Sounds like a good candidate for a weather balloon.
