    Interesting. Just BTW, Comos 1686 is the direct ancestor of the Mir expansion 
    modules --Kvant 2, Kristall, Priroda, and Spektr-- as well as the Zarya 
    component of the International Space Station. The configuration of the ISS 
    after launch of Zvezda in July (?) will be quite similar to the overall 
    configuration of Salyut 7 + Cosmos 1686 at the end of its occupation in 1986.
