On May 9 at 20:30:4x UT, viewing from Frankfurt-Enkheim Germany, approx. 50.15N,8.767E, I looked at 1-power for a predicted Ir 60 flare at 052/44 mag. -4. I spotted it at mag +2.5 about 13 degrees left of the predicted (and actual) flare centre. But after the flare max I lost it at mag 4, only 5-6 degrees to the right. Unless there was a secondary flare before the real one (which I have seen a couple of times), this is the first time I noted asymmetrical ramps. -- bjorn.gimle@tietotech.se (office) -- -- b_gimle@algonet.se (home) http://www.algonet.se/~b_gimle -- -- COSPAR 5919, MALMA, 59.2615 N, 18.6206 E, 33 m -- -- COSPAR 5918, HAMMARBY, 59.2985 N, 18.1045 E, 44 m -- -- SeeSat-L / Visual Satellite Observer Home Page found at -- -- http://www.satellite.eu.org/satintro.html -- ----------------------------------------------------------------- Unsubscribe from SeeSat-L by sending a message with 'unsubscribe' in the SUBJECT to SeeSat-L-request@lists.satellite.eu.org http://www2.satellite.eu.org/seesat/seesatindex.html
