Perhaps this is as good a time as any to ask if there is interest in a large
archive of TLEs I've been assembling. It's a superset of the materials
available at Jonathan McDowell's site (he was kind enough to send me CD ROMs
with his data), and currently contains something over 17 million TLEs.
Possibly it would be useful for studying the long-term behavior of orbits
or, as in the present instance, studying the appearance of "strange" TLEs in
    normal NORAD distributions.

If there is interest, I'd be happy to zip the archive and send it out to
requesters on a couple of CD ROMs. Since I don't want to get into the CD
ROM manufacturing business in too serious a way (they take about 20 minutes
a disk to produce), the offer is limited to six copies, probably on a
first-come-first-served basis. If there is greater demand than I expect, I
may prioritize the requests on some other basis than order of receipt.

The price is $US 0.00 -- CD ROMs are cheap, and the postage isn't worth
bothering about. I ask, however, that recipients be willing to distribute
the data further if they find interested parties.

If you'd like a copy, let me know by private e-mail.

P.S.: Of course I'd be delighted to receive copies of TLE archives others
    might have.

Here's the current contents of the archive, where the Znnnn names indicate
the epochs of the TLEs in the files.
