Using Skymap and Alldat.tle, I get four candidates with southerly motion:
#17267, 19164, 22514 and 25595.

Northerly motion candidates are 16106 and 16112.

I can provide a Skymap chart if you wish in JPG format.

>As for the unknown high satellite I saw the same evening, here are the
>numbers :
>Location: 51 10' N 2 57' E
>Time: May 9th 1999, around 00 h 14 m UT
>At alpha Canes Venatici, going to the right in the telescope, which means
>from North to South
>period: from 20 to 40 seconds, 2 or 3 flashes seen.
>Its rate of movement was rather slow, one flash traversing a bit more than
>half of the 0.5degrees field of view.
>I'll try to ID it myself tonight, but after failing to ID 99-12E, my
>confidence is down :)
