It was retreived in Jan 1990 I think. It spent its whole orbital
lifetime aligned with its length along the  local vertical.
So the end cap would be pointed down. As has been discussed before,
in relation to the non-Iridium LEO comsats,this means sun glints are
almost impossible to see
