Iridium and Mir obs 10 May

My astronomy club held a public viewing last night to look at
Hale-Bopp. Clouds parted right on schedule ! Certainly not getting as
good a view as the northern hemisphere but still spectacular !
The public was certainly excited about the Mir pass however. Its the
first one I have been able to show a large group and it was a great
overhead pass to about mag -2.
Just before that saw Cosmos 2340 R1 flashing to mag 0, period about 10
sec, they loved that too ! (grumbles heard from some other members of
the club about "upstageing the comet" :-)
Anyway, Iridium obs

09:26 UTC 10 May - All 5 seen at mag 7, Spacing about 30 sec except for
trailing sat (Iridium 4) which was only 10 sec from Iridium 5.

It will be interesting to see if the negative drag terms in the elsets
succesfully simulate the orbital changes (if the clouds clear !) Any
comments on this ?
