Dear friends,
I'm just a newcomer here so I need a little help to identify an
object. I was photographing the Hyakutake comet, the night was
16 April at 1957 UT, using a 1600 ASA film, with a 30" exposure.
I'm located in Turin, North West Italy. I pointed in a star field
to have Venus and the comet in the whole picture. Developping the
picture I found a strange row crossing the sky and it seems a
sat as there is a bright point then a red point and again a
bright point and a red one.. like a rotating body in the sky.
I can scan the pic and post in a ftp site if you want to look at
it. I saw in a past message that someone is able to determine
which satellite cross the sky knowing the date, time and position
of the observer (using SkyMap?). If anybody can help me I'll be really
glad. Usually I made only Mir and Shuttle pic.
Sorry for my poor english.. don't shoot me, I'm italian..
Thanks in advance.
Maury
