Brad Young has reported an observation of the flash period of Hitomi (16012A / 41337), made on 2016 Mar 29 near 01:42 UTC: http://satobs.org/seesat/Mar-2016/0195.html The observation report is in the FPAS format, which is defined here: http://www.satflare.com/fpas.asp The FPAS format appears to include some elements of the PPAS format, defined here: https://www.prismnet.com/~mmccants/bwgs/ppasfmt.html Brad estimated that Hitomi's magnitude varied between invisible and +4. He counted 7 flashes over a period of 70.5 s +/- 0.5 s, which yields a flash period (interval between flashes) of 11.75 s. Assuming rotational symmetry of order 2, Hitomi's period of rotation was 23.5 s (disregarding synodic effect). Brad observed from COSPAR 8336 =TULSA1 +36.139208,-95.983429 660ft Ted Molczan _______________________________________________ Seesat-l mailing list http://mailman.satobs.org/mailman/listinfo/seesat-lReceived on Tue Mar 29 2016 - 11:47:05 UTC
